Madison Square Boys & Girls Club Foundation is the fundraising arm of Madison Square Boys & Girls Club. All funds raised by the Foundation are used exclusively to support the mission of Madison Square Boys & Girls Club to save and enhance the lives of New York City boys and girls who by reason of economic or social factors are most in need of its services.

Foundation Team

Salina Muellich, Executive Director

Ms. Muellich joined Madison Square Boys & Girls Club in 2004, bringing with her a litany of accomplishments in the field of sustainability, financial support and foundation relations. She is responsible for strategic counsel for the organization and direct oversight of all resource development functions to ensure long-range sustainability and fiscal stability. Prior to joining Madison’s team, Ms. Muellich held numerous positions in the Development Office at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Ms. Muellich received her bachelor’s degree from University of Texas at Austin and holds a Certificate in Business Excellence from Columbia Business School.

Denise Cante, Senior Director of Corporate Relations

Denise Cante first joined Madison in 2005. With a dedication to youth development and a commitment to social impact, she has since spent the majority of her career serving in various roles at both Madison and Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco. A well-rounded development professional, her expertise includes capital campaigns, publications, branding and strategic communications. In her current role, Denise is responsible for developing, managing and stewarding corporate partnerships to deliver shared value and advance Madison’s mission. Her prior professional experience includes corporate communications and cause-marketing partnerships. Denise is also co-founder and board member of Pockets of Light. She is married and has two children.

Anna Phewa, Senior Director of Individual Donor Partnerships

Anna Phewa joined Madison Square Boys & Girls Club in 2018 and is currently responsible for overseeing all individual funding to the organization. She has spent her 10-year career in Development working exclusively with education-focused organizations that work to level the playing field for at-promise youth. Her roles have taken her around the world including 5 years spent abroad in South Korea and South Africa as well as shorter intervals in Nepal, Nicaragua, Malawi, Senegal and Haiti. Anna currently sits on the Board of the South African Education Project (USA) as Vice Chair of Fundraising. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin and Certificate in Fundraising Management from Indiana University.

Arwen van Stigt, Grants Specialist

Arwen van Stigt joined Madison in 2023 and is responsible for foundational giving and the grant cycle. For the past five years, she has worked as a grant writer and researcher in child development, education and the representation of ethnic minorities in Dutch politics. Arwen is from the Netherlands and moved to New York City in 2022. She holds two Master's degrees from the University of Amsterdam, one in Political Science and one in Philosophy. In 2022 she published a book of poems, and in her free time, she likes to write, play Irish fiddle and go on hikes.

Isabel Watkins, Development Associate

Isabel Watkins is the Development Associate for the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club Foundation. With a Master’s in Human Rights Law, Isabel is passionate about serving the needs of the communities around her and has experience working in nonprofit organizations specializing in women’s and children’s rights, education and the rights of the disabled. In her free time, Isabel enjoys knitting, sewing and taking long coffee walks through Prospect Park (when the weather is nice!).

Audrey Warner, Donor Communications Coordinator

Audrey Warner joined Madison Square Boys & Girls Club in 2022 and heads the organization’s communications and digital presence. Her work at Madison creates connections among the Clubhouses, the Foundation, donors, members and the communities Madison serves. Audrey is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and journalist and holds a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College, with her studies focused on nonfiction media, conservation, education and sustainability.
