Madison Square Boys & Girls Club Foundation’s sole purpose is to raise funds to support the mission of Madison Square Boys & Girls Club. Madison has partnered with Cars for Charity to accept vehicle donations. The funds from the sale of your car donation will help the Foundation ensure that Madison’s members continue to learn and grow, stay connected to mentors, and persevere with their school work.

How to Donate Your Car

1. Fill out the online donation form or call (888) 755-5435. We’ll ask for some information about your vehicle and where it will be picked up.

2. A towing agent will contact you within two to three business days to schedule a free pick up time most convenient for you.

3. After your car is sold, you’ll be emailed a tax receipt.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We accept all types of running and non-functioning New York car donations. Trucks, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, planes, heavy machinery, trailers and RVs are accepted on a case-by-case basis. If you have questions about a vehicle you’d like to donate, call Cars for Charity at (888) 755-5435.

  • Most car donations require a clear title. If you can’t find your title, you’ll have to apply for a duplicate title through the NYS DMV. When you donate your car to Madison Square Boys & Girls Club Foundation, you’ll sign your New York title over to our processing agent, Advanced Remarketing Services.   • When you donate a car in New York, please remove all registration stickers and return your plates to the DMV with a completed plate surrender application, which can be found here. This should be done once your car is picked up.

  • Our processing partner, Advanced Remarketing Services, returns on average 80% of the gross proceeds from the sale of your car donation back to Madison Square Boys & Girls Club Foundation, the highest of any vehicle donation program!

  • Yes! Within 30 days of the sale of your vehicle, you will receive an email with a tax receipt for your car donation. The amount that is tax-deductible is equal to the sale price of your vehicle. If your car sold for less than $500, you can claim the fair market value of the vehicle up to $499. If your vehicle sells for more than $500 and you want to claim the full amount when itemizing taxes, an IRS Form 1098-C, Contributions of Motor Vehicles, Boats, and Airplanes will be mailed to you. This form will be your tax receipt for your vehicle donation.
